**Job Description**
The position of Switchboard Operator is based in Lugano. The role includes answering and managing incoming calls, providing information in line with internal and external guidelines, and transferring calls to the appropriate contacts and/or taking accurate messages when required. The candidate must be fluent in English, Italian, French and German.


**Main Responsibilities**

- Answer incoming calls, greeting callers, providing information, transferring calls, or taking messages as necessary
- Perform various data entry or word processing tasks, such as updating phone directories
- Performing general administrative duties
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

**Skills And Experience**

- Successfully completed commercial education
- Fluency in English and national languages
- Around 2-4 years of working experience as Switchboard operator
- Excellent time management skills, ability to multitask and prioritize request from various sources, work under pressure
- Active Listening: Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package
- Communicative, trustworthy presence, politeness
- Ability to work in a team and listening skills
- Actively looking for ways to help people
